So I have finally got back to trying to put some more information about Hyuga on this site (although I don't live there any longer!). These are some links to about the city and some other ones about Miyazaki. Click away.
And some more random links.
- Discover Japan! Sightseeing Database - A page about Umagase
- Train table from Miyazaki Airport to Hyuga city (I would check these yourself, but the trains run regularly from Miyazaki and the Airport to Hyuga).
- Association of Surfing Professionals - A link to the ASP that lists a competition at Okuragahama (only juniors level now)
- Fuji Silysia Chemical Ltd - One of the chemical companies that has a plant in Hyuga. Hyuga is a very industrialised city and produces lots of chemicals, contrete and wood. At the port area, there are always cargo ships as well as lots of people (usually old men) fishing (usually for bite sized aji (horse mackerel) that would be cheaper to buy in the supermarket than the bait they buy to catch them with! (partly my experience too!).
