Hyuga-shi (city) is a pretty cool little city. It is in Miyazaki-ken (prefecture) on the east coast of Kyushu. Route 10, the main eastern road that goes from north to south Kyushu, goes straight through Hyuga. Hyuga is 78km north of Miyazaki-shi (city). (You have probably caught on or know that shi = city and ken = prefecture. Some other endings are cho = town, and son = village, so if you are coming to Miyazaki don't confuse Kitago-son with Kitago-cho, both are interesting but in different ways and Kitago-son has just one taxi and is a long way up in the mountain). |
